Hello all
IntroHi to everyone reading this. Firstly i think a quick introduction. My name is james lashmar, also known in life as Jay or on the web as Phunky - [ J ]. I love digital design but also manga which is something that i've been looking at lately and have been practising and trying to do, although its simply the first step as when i have finished the pencil drawing i will have to adapt my photoshop skills to be able to 'digitalise' the image.
My background
I started using pc's from early windows 3.1 when i was a kid but then didn't really use a pc until i was about 17 when i had my own for personal use. I then went to college and studies a BTEC National in business I.C.T which to be honest was a crap course but i got a qualification with a few side imaging qualifications and a few telematics ones aswell. Through college i spent my time teaching myself basically while progressing through the course. I learnt a lot about hardware, windows and photoshop, so basically now i can do anything with a pc except program efficiantly, which although it doesn't quite interest me now i think it might be cool to learn as before i've only done pascal and delphi which, in my opinion suck.
In the past year though i've been focusing more on designing and digital art as i think its fascinating especially certain 3D art done in apps like bryce, meaya and 3dsmax. If you wish to see some of my works you can check my quite old portfolio site which i apologise in advance for the 'my works' section as the fullsize images were lost by clicking here Absencestudios.com or my deviantart profile, which i think everyone should sign up to seen as it is the biggest online art community by clicking here
